



Hide and Seek revolves around a widower (Robert DeNiro) and his daughter (Dakota Fanning). They move to upstate and Emily (Fanning) soon creates an imaginary friend named Charlie…but this act takes an unexpected and terrifying turn, where her father and doctor (Famke Janssen) start to worry about Emily’s gruesome habits.

Continuity: Elizabeth's scarf changes position when she enters Emily's room.
Continuity: In the beginning of the film, when Emily's mother is tucking her in, there is a strand of hair that comes and goes on Emily's face as the shots change.
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Emily is laying on her bedroom floor, she draws a picture of her and Charlie at the window, but she draws herself with blonde hair, the actress's natural hair color.
Continuity: In the scene after Emily's father gives her the new diary, in an exterior view of the house there is no vehicle. However, when Emily is walking towards the woods, there is an SUV.
Emily: Let's just hope you don't end up like her.
David: Emily.
Emily: Charlie says you do.
David: Stop this.
Emily: Did Daddy tell you about my mommy?
David: I'm sure Elizabeth doesn't want to hear such things.
Emily: She killed herself. She slit her wrists and drowned in the bathtub. Let's hope you don't wind up like her.
